Couples Retreat Just Before Our Wedding

For 11 amazing days, we basked in each other's company on the Big Island of Hawaii. Starting with the Warrior Sage Couples Retreat and ending with the home of Pele, the Fiery Goddess, we had an incredible time together.

in the Puna District

Jesse peeks inside a "Lava Tree" and
doesn't know I have the camera
When the lava crept into this area, the trees were wet, so the heat melted the tree, but slowly enough that there is a hole in this lava rock where the tree was at one time.

Here we are entering a Lava Tube at Mackenzie
State Park in the Puna District.

After the Couples Retreat ended, we headed over to the Kona side
of the island for a swim with dolphins.
Here we are ready to board the "Liliquoi" with Captain Dana and
Captain Cindy of "In To Spirit Whale & Dolphin Adventures"
We didn't have an underwater camera, so this is our best pic from the boat or our ocean friends. They were in travel mode while we swam with them,
so we didn't frolic but instead enjoyed them from the surface of the water.

On our way home we stopped at "The Coffee Shack" in Captain Cook to have brunch with our friend and 5 Elements for Living Women's Leadership Retreat Program graduate, Meg Sibley. After some twisting of her arm, she might make it to our wedding after all.
We drove back to the Hilo side through the southern route
and stopped near Volcanoes National Park where Jesse followed
some Nene, the Hawaiian State Bird.
We also stopped by a ram farm on the side
of the road to say "Hello" to this old guy.

Here I am at the home of Pele, the Fiery Goddess. She lives here at the top of the Crater. If you look closely in the background, you can see steam rising from the ground.

Family Everywhere at the Rejuvenate Your Practice 2 Day Intensive

It may have been our last RYP. At least the last one that me and Jesse lead together before we get married (and I get pregnant). It was an amazing event as we had 2 Mother-Daughter pairs in the room, a Mom-Son pair...and my Dad, Stan Jacobs showed up to see what we do.

Just as I was about to tell my story of how my Dad was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident, he arrived. I shared the story with more emotion as I felt so much gratitude for his presence in my life. He'll be walking me down the aisle during our wedding (check for the blog post in early November).

Jesse Smiles big for the camera (doesn't he look great?)

My Brother Got Hitched!

September 1st, 2007 my brother, Aaron Jacobs married Rachael Beattie on the cliffs of Santa Cruz. It was a really sweet (and short) ceremony as they rode in on their beach cruisers and rode out tandem. I didn't cry until I danced with my brother during the money dance.

I guess me and Jesse are next!

Aaron gives my new Sister-in-Law Rachael her wedding ring.
